How much is the deposit and when do I get it back?
One month’s rent. After the check-out inspection it is returned within 14 days if there is no damage; it cannot be used as the last month’s rent.
Who pays the agency fee?
The tenant pays half a month’s rent once and the landlord covers the rest. Viewings themselves are free.
How long is the contract?
A standard let is one year with rent paid quarterly. Furnished guesthouse units start at three months. Either side gives two months’ notice to end early.
Are utilities included in the rent?
In most apartments the tenant pays their own electricity and water meter. Shared rooms and guesthouse units include them. Any building service charge is stated on the listing.
